How to Use Your Festival Pass?

Collecting Your Pass

You can collect your pass at the following times and locations:

  • Cineworks (1131 Howe Street): November 22, 5:10 – 5:40 pm.
  • Simon Fraser University (SFU) Goldcorp Centre for the Arts – 2nd Floor – Box Office: Starting from November 23, you can pick it up before the first screening of the day and before each film session on screening days.

WHAT DOES YOUR FESTİVAL PASS PROVİDE?

Your Festival Pass grants access to the following events:

  • 11th VTFF Short Film Screenings (We kindly ask both “Regular” and “Complimentary” pass holders to read the instructions and notes for the short film session participations).
  • 11th VTFF Feature&Documentary Screenings, and Other Events (November 23-24, 2024, SFU Goldcorp Centre).

Participation in other events may require an additional ticket or a “Regular Festival Pass.” For more information, please visit our website at vtff.ca.

Short Film Sessions:

Due to limited seating for the Short Film session, those with a “Complimentary Festival Pass” MUST send a participation request email, indicating their pass type, to vtff@turkishcanadiansociety.org. You will need to receive a confirmation email for your participation and be at the Cineworks cinema 20 minutes before the screening. If a screening is full, entry may not be possible. The availability of seats is at the discretion of the venue management. There is no such risk for the feature-length films, documentaries, and events at SFU Goldcorp Centre, as the venue has sufficient capacity.

For “Regular Festival Pass” holders an amount of seats have reserved in the venues. Ticket holders who wish to use their Pass for the SHORT FILM screenings at Cineworks MUST make a reservation by emailing  vtff@turkishcanadiansociety.org as indicated  in the ticket description during your purchase on the EventBride Page. If your participation is not confirmed and you are placed on the waitlist, you can request a refund automatically through Eventbrite or contact with us.

You must arrive at least 20 minutes before the screening to pick up your tickets from the Box Office and secure your seat. Tickets must be collected and the venue must be entered within this time frame.

ATTENDING 11TH VANCOUVER TURKİSH FİLM FESTİVAL SCREENİNGS:

Your Festival Pass allows you to enjoy a wide range of films during the festival. A specific number of seats are reserved for pass holders at each screening. This quota is held until 20 minutes before the screening. After this time or if the quota is full, you will need to join the Standby line to check if additional seats are available. At SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts screenings, the chances of finding a seat at this stage are high.

If a screening is full, entry may not be possible. The availability of seats for latecomers is at the discretion of the venue management.

Festival Passes are non-transferable, and photo ID may be requested.

ATTENDING SCREENİNGS AT SFU (SIMON FRASER UNİVERSİTY) GOLDCORP CENTRE

For screenings held at SFU Goldcorp Centre, pass holders are required to obtain entry tickets. These tickets will be available at the Box Office desk on the 2nd Floor of the SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, right next to the line. You can select a ticket for the next available session in line.

  • The Box Office opens 20 minutes before the first screening.
  • Pass holders may choose entry tickets for the next two screening blocks in line. The 3rd block will open after the first screenings have begun. Pass holders can only obtain tickets for two consecutive films at one time.
  • If tickets for your preferred screening are sold out, you can join the Standby line and enter if seats are available when the screening begins.
